The USFWC Racial and Economic Justice Council (REJC) is a member space which serves as a conduit between national worker coop networks and the communities doing grassroots economic and racial justice work rooted in racial, gender, economic, environmental, and disability justice; trans and queer liberation; and anti-capitalism and anti-imperialism.
At the December meeting, we’ll discuss the Rising Majority statement calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, which the USFWC has endorsed. We’ll go over the process for the USFWC to make endorsements, and how this member council can be a place to build support for the issues you care about. We want to hear from you: Have you had conversations in your coop about how to respond to the current crisis? In general, how can cooperative businesses and the cooperative movement respond to injustice as it happens? Is there any action we want to take together as REJC in this moment to educate ourselves or organize with others?
Este Consejo de Justicia Económica y Racial es un espacio para la membresía que sirve como canal entre redes nacionales de cooperativas de trabajadores y las comunidades que hacen trabajo de base enraizado en la justicia racial, de género, económica, ambiental y de discapacidad; la liberación de las personas trans y queer y el anticapitalismo y antiimperialismo.
En esta reunión de diciembre, hablaremos de la declaración de la coalición Rising Majority en la que se pide un alto el fuego en Gaza, que la USFWC ha respaldado. Vamos a aprender sobre el proceso de aprobación de la USFWC y considerar cómo este consejo puede ser un espacio para conseguir apoyo para los temas que nos importan.
