About the webinar:
Pay equity is an issue that often comes up in conventional businesses with regard to gender and race. In the worker coop sector, it can be especially relevant as we strive to create businesses where fairness is a core value that addresses everything from competence, to seniority, to personal need. This webinar will provide an overview of the questions and considerations that worker coops face in developing pay scales that are both equitable and financially viable.
About the presenter:
Devra Gartenstein has run a variety of small food businesses since 1987, and in 2013 she worked with a core group of employees to transform her company, Patty Pan Grill, into a worker-owned cooperative. Since then she has worked as a peer advisor with the Democracy at Work Network and USFWC's Coop Clinic.
